Hello everyone,

Hope that you are all doing well and having smooth application progress

I’m wondering if anyone is in the same situation like me. I submitted the PGP for my parents on Nov 2023, however, my mother plans to travel to Canada to visit us, my father is not going with her (they have the visitor visas and have visited us a few times before). I’m not sure if it’s ok when my mother is in Canada and provides the documents requested by IRCC such as biometrics or medical? Or she needs to go back to home country to complete those requests? Can my father complete those requests in home country separately?

Did you not receive any email as well? That's weird that you get a physical mail. I'm kind a worried about our application cause we haven't heard anything yet from IRCC I constantly check emails but nothing.

No I did not get any email, which I found weird, just the mailed letter.

Yes. it's fine for PA and dependent to complete requests in different locations.

Good for you, my parent's aadhar card is from 2012 and spouse's name isn't mentioned. But my mother's voter's ID has the husband name, however there are name mismatches which i will explain in my letter to them. But right now i am waiting to apply for a new passport for them so that i can communicate that status as well, I have sought permission from CGI Vancouver to allow us to apply under TATKAAL so that we can have it within 30 days

just curious why you need permission from Vancouver CGI for Tatkaal ? Visitors can use tatkaal service directly ! Any chance in personal particulars?

I am not sure why you need permission but you do, it says so on the BLS checklist. It was declined in my parent's case as they've visitor status in Canada, I don't understand why that should make a difference to the Indian govt. Ultimately they're Indian citizens and deserve to be served by the Consulate like any other citizen of their country. So I've applied for the passport under general category.

Do you mind sharing the gist of what the AOR says? Have they given you an application number and the status of your application online has moved from Submitted to something else?

Secondly what did you provide as evidence for proof of relationship in addition to birth certificate, marriage certificates etc.?

Is AOR means the sponsor eligibility meet or this will determine after aor and informed us separately?

Its still shows submitted in PR Portal. I have submitted Aadhar Card, Voting ID, Pan Card and old school results.

I just submitted some documents that they requested and I did not get any auto response so hopefully everything is ok now.

what does the status on pr portal say? i submitted additional docs but the status on PR Portal says returned.. wondering if it is ok

The status on the PR Portal shows submitted (with the original date in October that it was 1st sent)

I see. So the email you got from them on Feb 01 which was after you sent them the extra documents, says that they have everything they need and will further your processing?
