I got the email with this subject "IRCC - Permanent Residence Portal (PR Confirmation)", which asked for the information related to my mother's (applicant) email, UCI etc, on Dec 19. I forwarded that email to my mother's email (as per instructions in the document in email), and then replied to CIC email account with the information which was requested right on same day.
But we still haven't received the credential for logging into the PR confirmation portal. I thought we get this email within a day or 2.
Can anyone please let me know what the expected number of days after which we can expect to get the credential in applicant's email.

Thanks for your response. I have another query now that I see your response that it can take couple of months. My mother came here on tourist visa and she is going back next month. So what someone can do if they get login credential after person has returned from Canada, because then they can not declare that they are in Canada.

In the letter you got it says that if you are outside Canada you cannot do landing using this PR portal In this case you need to inform IRCC by replying to that email and they will send further instructions.
I would say wait till last week when she will be leaving to India and then inform IRCC.
Another concern is her PR card will be delivered to Canadian address while she will be in India.
I just received the PCC of my mother for her PR. It says she is allowed for "Employment, Employment Visa and Work Permit for Canada" instead of "Immigration purposes Other than Citizenship". I read her application again to check if I selected the correct option, and I did select the right option of Immigration Other than Citizenship.
Has anyone faced this issue or commented on this? Do I need to get the PCC again? The due date to submit the document is first week of Jan.

Hi All,
Both my parents(PGP-2020) received the COPR(with a Visa sticker stamped on the passport) and the last date to arrive in Canada is 20th Feb 2024.
What would be the consequence if they don't arrive before this deadline? I will inform IRCC of their delay and that they are willing to come only after the winter subsides but I am guessing they might have to go for medicals once again. Please provide your input.
Thanks in advance!
Amit
Hello, unfortunately, I didn't notice my invitation for intake 2023 until the last hour of the deadline for this year (sponsorship parents) so I filled out the forms as much as I could but some of them were left incomplete. I also paid the fees. Is there a chance that my application doesn't get rejected and just returns due to an incomplete application so I get a chance to complete it and resubmit my application? If anyone knows please assist it's a very stressful situation
On a side note on the invitation letter, it was mentioned 11:59 EST but when I submitted my application before the deadline it stated UTC which was 5 hours ahead and it was showing the next calendar day. Does anyone know what's the reason?
Folks, I need help. My parents received passport request on Dec 22nd, they are currently on the US. I sent a web form saying they won’t be able to submit the passport as they are traveling to Canada on 30th Dec, they do have visit visa. I requested IRCC for a virtual landing, not sure when I will get a response.
the question is, with the passport request letter, can the landing formalities be completed at Toronto airport? Note that they will not have a PR visa stamped. Is this even an option if they show the letter to the immigration officer?
I have got an email saying
Financial Eval. Form IMM5768: Please provide a current, completed and signed Financial Evaluation for Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship (IMM 5768) completed by you and co-signer (if applicable), bearing all required signatures. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5768E.pdf
On the previously submitted, the age of your dependent child is not mentioned.
Either get appointment online from Passport seva or go through Local police station. You need to fill forms in both cases for the reason to request PCC.

This was mentioned in the letter with Passport request from IRCC. You must have received similar letter. If anyone else have similar experience, they can share.
NOTE: Permanent Resident document(s) Validity The issuance of your Permanent Resident document(s) is time sensitive so it is important for you to submit your passport(s) as requested.
Once you receive your Permanent Resident document(s), please verify the information on it is correct. If there are any errors, such as incorrect spelling of name or incorrect date of birth, please inform our CPC Mississauga office via the IRCC Web Form: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp immediately. Your name will appear in the same format as it appears in your passport.
Your Permanent Resident document(s) will expire one year after the date of your medical examinations or earlier if your passport or the passports of your spouse or dependent children (if applicable) expire on an earlier date. You must travel to Canada and present your immigration documents at a Canadian Port of Entry before they expire. The validity of the Permanent Resident documents cannot be extended. If you fail to enter Canada before this date and still wish to immigrate to Canada, you must reapply by submitting a new application and paying new processing fees. All such applications will be assessed according to the immigration laws in force at the time of receipt of the application. There is no guarantee a future application would be successful.
