Out of curiosity, has anybody from Pakistan in the 2nd round invitees, seen any movement? My dad's application still says DM on Sponsorship and " Application Received" on Applicant status in ECAS.
My CIC hasnt moved either for months....

I don't think so. No updates since July08 when recieved 2nd AOR from London

It stayed under review up until the Passports were stamped by Immigration Office and COPR is issued.
Check your email as well as in the Junk folder for Passport Request..

you may also call CIC to know the decision and check if any communication was sent out.

Great! Got the COPR today. I guess it take about a week after DM.

We got asked for photographs again!
The newly taken photos with stamp and date reached at 29/10/2019.
I called CIC yesterday and they told me it would take another couple weeks for them to issue stamped passports back.

But I am not sure if I am allowed to work in Canada or NOT ? Can somebody guide me and let me know if I can work or not, Please. Thanks in advance.

You can legally work anywhere in Canada as soon as you have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN). If you are a permanent resident of Canada, you have all the rights as a regular Canadian Citizen regardless of your age (except the right to vote).
So go ahead and utilize your energies as much as you want to.

I was in a similar problem and I submitted a query to Delhi Visa office . This is the email I got that u can submit in different locations,Hope it helps you.
“
Dear Sir/Madam,

This refers to your recent email inquiry received at the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

Please be advised that the applicant can submit his passport in CPC Ottawa and spouse can submit in India through VFS.

Thank you so much for your response. I was able to send in my Parents passports without getting a proper response form CIC within the 30 day time frame due to your response post and the positiveness you showed and they got their visas stamped from Delhi as well as the Confirmation of Permanent residency.

I wouldn't have been so sure to do it without your help. PM me for any issues/help in Canada that you might need and wish you good luck for your parents as well.
