I have received the letter via email and file have been sent to Ottawa. I was under the impression that once you link your file to online account all the correspondence is directed to your online account. may be that's not the case entirely? will my online status get updated as well after?

Hello Guys,

My Wife's Expression of Interest for Parents & Grand Parent Sponsorship got selected & She is going to be Sponsor for her Parents .

We both have stayed in Canada from 2012 end Jointly applied for PR in 2014 & got PR in June 2015 . She was on open Work Permit from 2012.

Now Here is the Dilemma

In the five years preceding your application, did you become a permanent resident after being sponsored as spouse'

So did our Joint Application for PR , is considered as i Sponsored her( My Spouse) to become PR ?

Is she is eligible to apply ?

Any input is appreciated !!!

Hello Dear,

Its always good to seek a professional advise for some real complex questions as no on is expert here , I would suggest try to call call center and see what they say.
But according to me this condition only applies if you actually sponsor someone to become PR but like you said you both become PR by applying on your own ( point basis probably) then that doesn't apply to you guys.

Normal. Online account is for permanent residents, after you got sponsorship approval(SA), the permanent residence processing is starting, no any update for cic online account for sponsorship approval. You can’t see anything for sponsorship approval in cic online account. the following is After SA my online account status:”(I was ever asked to submitted additional docs before SA)

My application to sponsor my parents was received on May 18, 2018. Called and got a temporary case number last week from the agent. Today, I was able to see my status updated on ECASE: application received. Still waiting to receive AOR in the email.

Form 5669 does not ask for the travel information.
It just requires education, employment and residential history, etc.
Why do you want to add travel history for this form when the other form (IMM0008) already covers this information?

Not sure where IMM0008 is covering it? It only has the previous residence info. On the other hand I have understood the IMM5669 sentence

If you were not working, provide information on what you were doing (for example: unemployed, studying, travelling, retired, in detention, etc).

as if I had to provide the travel information only if it were a reason of not being working. Hence never filled it as all that was are short vacations. But I read here in the forum that people are listing all of the travel history in this form.

to avoid delay you can send it to LVO or load in My CIC, which LVO do you have?

I don't see a way to upload it on My CIC. As far as I understand you can only upload the requested docs. But none are requested so far..

If you sent your mail with tracking you know that it was received. Most applications were received around the same time so it will take a while to get through them all. If others still haven't received AOR they are still processing applications.

Any idea how long it takes for the Medical to be received? Mom had her Medical on august 2nd, online it shows only that medical has been requested but not received

they can post till end of 30 days they gave you for IME

2. My husband and I are sponsoring my parents, so would the family member total be 2 or 4?
