It's very dissapointing, I myself was not selected but have faith. Hopefully there is a 2nd round this year which means a 2nd chance.

My dad passed away recently. My mom is left alone back home. Sadly, didn't qualify in the lottery yet again. Seems like I will never be able to bring my mom and she will meet the same fate as my dad. Sorry for the rant, just frustrated.

I ,totally understand your frustration. My dad passed away last year. All I have is my mom and all she has is me and I was not selected again. So you are not alone. Lets all have faith for a 2nd round which mean a 2nd chance to be selected.

Same here - I am the only son, no other siblings. My mom is alone back home. I can't move my life forward here as I am constantly thinking about her and worried about her. I don't know if and when this round 2 will come but the Government should have a policy in place for widowed parents and those who have no other siblings to look after their parents back home as the need is even greater in such cases.

I did. mine is 75JD4**-19 and there is only 1 75JD117-19..[/Q

That is correct. IRCC aim to get 10,000 application so if they have not, there will be 2nd round

And by the way, I read that this year, you only have 60 days to submit your complete application (if you are selected), instead of 90 days in last year. So the 2nd round should be around July-August 2018... instead of September like last year...

Totally agree with you on that one.

Unfortunately that would be very labour intensive, hard to avoid fraud without lots of work and also there is never a way to be fair. Do you penalize people or nationalities with more children? Do you start prioritizing parents based on age? You could go on forever and it would never be fair. Given the state of the health system unfortunately not sure it will even continue to be realistic to take in so many elderly parents when there is no room to care for the current Canadians.

Yes a pure lottery system is the fairest most transparent and best option for the PGP program.

I lost my confirmation email so I can't check my self if my parents selected for draw. I lost my email so if anyone can send me details where that confirmation mail come from so i can search in my email please.

Even if you selected or not you will get email if anyone can send me that email address then i can check in my email.

yes, but for me I'm not selected to sponsor my parents. Ill try again next year. My husband's father is more older and he is living alone in India as my mother in law passed away last year. My case is the same, but my father is still working back home, so I can still wait till next year!

They never sent the confirmation numbers via emails, but you could’ve wrote it down when showed the interest. The above link would help you to find your confirmation number. And this is the email address they’re sending from; CIC.CPCMississaugaDoNotReply-CTDMississaugaNePasRepondre.CIC
