Received the request for PCC, background history, updated Sch A and medicals yesterday.

Weird that London Visa Office asked for Biometrics again that my parents already did in March this year during the sponsorship approval phase. However I email them with proof and biometric ID that this has already been provided and have asked if this is required again.

Yulia, please update the spreadsheet for records and stats.

Can a sponsor leave Canada for another country for jobs after PGP VISA is stamped before parents landing?

I have sponsored my parents under PGP 2019. Their file is at advanced stage.
Like many parents, my parents also have assets including real estate, mutual funds, govt bonds, gold and bank accounts in home country (India).
They are already here in Canada on Visitor Visas and most likely will complete their landing formalities by flag poling or at Etobicoke.
It will take them approx 3 years to liquidate all their assets in home country and bring/transfer funds to Canada.
What kind of declaration is to be made at the border at the time of flag poling/Etobicoke to avoid future tax implications?
Will appreciate if someone can share experience/insight.

Of course. Stamping the visa means the decision has now been made.

Yeah security and background for Us takes longer than others.

But what took them 9 months to even request medical and PCC.

Other offices now a days asking PCC medical and stuff within SA letter or within couple of months..

Not sure what to do, just contacted the local MP to intervene now.

They will need to fill out B4 form to declear the personal items including cash etc. they are carrying at the time of crossing the border. They will also need to fill out the personal items that are arriving later.

But, they don't need to declear the real estate, bank accounts in foreign country etc. as you are not carrying them at the time of crossing the border. It takes quite sometime to liquidate the assets that it's hard to declear the exact amount your parents will be bringing to Canada. Even after liquidation of assets, they are most likley going to transfer those funds into one of the financial instututions in Canada instead of carrying huge amount of cash.

So, short answer is "declear the items they are carrying at the time of crossing" and other items (gold etc.) that will be arriving later. The rest of the items are not required to be decleared.

@YULIA-2016 I got the Medical request for both Parents from NDVO. However, in my mother's medical request form the email mentioned is wrong. I don't know why. How can i rectify it?

May not be directly related to you. One thing i know is "There is responsibility of the Sponsor to have take care for 10 or 20 years." . That you can do i think when you are out of country. So should not effect you

Hi Guys,

I submitted police clearance and CV via email (my case is in Mississauga) on Nov 21. In the following day the status of "review of additional documents" in GC key changed to "The additional documents you provided have been uploaded.".

However, yesterday I realized that on top of the page, there is a hyperlink for "view submitted applications or upload documents" under application status and messages. After I click in, I cannot see the submitted materials and the first column in the table (which shows all requested docs) indicates "replacement needed". And I haven't received any request from CIC since I sent the docs via email.

Anyone has similar experience? Do I need to re-submit? It is due today...
