Curious on what is the timeframe I should be looking to see update in my account for the confirmation medical test are completed and under review?

Its normal, and I would suggest don't check the status everyday it won't be changing that frequent. Link your application to myCIC and you will get updates through email (even though if you don't link you still get emails from CIC if they want something.). Its a long process so you have to be easy on checking it everyday.

My mom is also homemaker and she never employed .. so I put her unemployed since age 18 and homemaker since she got married till date

Question : I have submitted the documents to the office. I can see the decision made on sponsorship application, I didnt receive any email notification about this nor do i know what decision has been made. Is this normal? It might be the decision is made but they email is on the way...

they will send you email about IME and you can print forms from My CIC acc

You'd still get emails whenever there's an update.

click on check full application status and after that, on documents status, you click on View submitted application

You still get emails (after you link your application) if there is any new message in your myCIC account and your action is required. That email will say 'You have received new message in your myCIC account, to see the message log on to myCIC.... blah blah blah.'

Hi everyone! I just want to share how things are for me so far, with my sponsorship application for both my parents. Today I checked on my parents online account (gc key) and found that they passed their medical. Looks like if your parents have been here on a visitor visa and have applied for extension of stay and has undergone medical, they will use that previous medical result on their PR application for as long as it is still valid. To date, I still haven't received any official letter of sponsorship approval. I wonder how long will I have to wait.

I’d suggest calling and asking them. I never received SA email and my parents medical is in process...

I believe you are asking about Mail not Email, if so, your answer would be No, you won’t get any Mails, but there are always exceptions!

Hello.

Would anyone here know what the process is for removing the spouse of the principal applicant from the application? I called the call centre and they advised to send a letter saying that the spouse (dependent) will switch to a non-accompanying family member. Even if the spouse is non-accompanying, they will require medicals, police clearances and forms from that person as well. Does anybody here have any experience with this?

The sponsorship, we choose. So there no discrimination, nothing. I’d say it’s unfair for 2014 applicants, not for us.

It's unfair to everyone. Files are held for no reason. Once sponsorship is approved there is no reason to make people wait and specially to let medicals expire.

I think someone at the embassy has implemented a wrong policy about Parents and Grand Parents at New Delhi while other local offices have not made the mistake.

If NDVO is brought to light it will change their practice and it has to be a collective voice or else it won't get anywhere.

Those general responses are useless.

I agree, there is no need to make noise. Just an FYI the current process for PGP under the Liberal Government is much better that it was under the Conservatives. I had first hand experience.

You had good experiences with NDVO? And with 2017 applications? Because 2016 applicants have had their medical exams redone because officers would set on medical exams for a year and make people pay again.

I hope your attested experience is not from Ottawa or from first part of 2016 applicants in NDVO where things were going smoothly.
