parental leave: supporting document question

Hello,
I am a Canadian citizen living abroad, I have two small kids with my husband (both Canadian), I want to sponsor my husband. Right now, I am on parental leave for 2 more years. In the Document Checklist for the sponsor, it says (Number 18), that a letter from my current employer is required, stating my salary. I am still empolyed, but not working at the moment. Where should I write, that I don´t have that letter? Or instead of that provide information about my husband´s salary?

Get the letter from your employer, you are still an employee on PL, and get them to write it down on the letter

Agree.
Also include info about your husband's salary, job, and any savings you have. You don't need an income to sponsor a spouse, but the VO does want to see that the two of you can support yourselves once in Canada. Showing savings, and that your husband is readily employable (if true), will help.
