Hi,
My parents are travelling on a visitor visa I am looking to extend to super visa once they are in the country. I can obtain necessary medical insurance.
1. Is the LICO cutoff for supervisa same as for sponsorship? Do I need to show 3 yrs of income? I am on PR - I do not have 3 yrs of income.
2. Can I apply immediately once they are here? Will the extension period be from the date of entry expiry (of visitor visa) or from date of application for extension?
Thanks for the inputs Wakki
My parents already have their TRV. Due to income restrictions I am not applying directly for super visa - instead I am looking to extend the stay with a super visa.
The page 2/2 of the imm5484e states most recent T4/T1 and does not stress for 3 years. Does it mean on the most recent year gone by is required?
Thanks again ...

Not sure what you mean by "looking to extend the stay with a super visa"........TRV and Super Visa are 2 different visas.
I may be wrong......but I don't think you can't convert TRV to Super Visa.....they are different visa applications and you need to apply separately.
TRV usually allow visitors 6 months temporary stay and you could apply to extend the TRV......you won't be required to show your income.
Super Visa allows an initial stay of 2 years.......after your parents enter Canada, if you wish to extend the stay......you could apply to extend the Super Visa beyond 2 years.
When you apply for Super Visa......you are required show you meet the LICO minimum in the form of one of the following documents:
the most recent copy of the CRA notice of assessment
the most recent copy of T4 or T1
For Parents Sponsorship the LICO requirement is 3 years.......for Super Visa seems LICO for most recent year.......can't confirm this.....so will advice you call IRCC (1-888-242-2100 - in Canada only) to confirm.......and hope others in the forum could help confirm.
