Hi there. I have a question can I sponsor my sister along with my parents from the usa. They are all us citizens n I'm Canadian citizen also my sis is paralyzed since 2yrs of age will it be an issue can I sponsor her or does my parents have to omce they get pr for canada?
Unfortunately there is a good chance that your sister will be deemed to be medically inadmissible due to her condition. If she is your parents' dependent, this means your parents will be refused as well. However you can always try applying and see what happens.
There is only one contact phone number. 1-888-242-2100. However the number is only good for calls within Canada. Outside Canada, you would have to contact your local VO office.
i just called CIC they said in form IMM5768 #16 if you are filling year 1 -2012, year 2 -2011 , year 3 2010 make sure you meet LICO for all 3 years nothing to do with 2013 income . if person don't meet LICO in 2010 they have to wait for 2013 option C .Sadly I don't meet 2010 LICO
Hi. It doesn't matter if your wife only landed in 2011. She can still sponsor her mother for PR as long as you sign on as her co-signer/co-sponsor. However since you said you don't meet any of the 2010, 2011, 2012 minimum limit, you could be waiting until 2017 assuming you meet the minimum requirement in 2013 to 2015 tax year.
Ok thanks screech, so you advise that we still apply for her mother, and my wife being the sponsor? is it the same if we apply in year 2016? or is it better if we apply right now? it is so confusing, I don't know what to do please help me. I think for 2013 we did meet the financial requirment, so that means it would be 2013, 2014 and 2015 that would count?

If you meet the LICO requirement in 2013, 2014 and 2015, you can apply to sponsor your mother in law in jan 2017. Your wife would be the sponsor as she is her biological mom. You will have to be the co-signer so that your income can factored together with your wife for income minimum requirement.

Once this current 5000 cap is reached and the program is closed, nobody knows when it will re-open, or if further changes will be made to requirements. Best bet is it will re-open in Jan 2015 again under same conditions, but nobody can say for sure.
