so what do u people suggest ? an online application for study permit or paper based one. ? which one is fastest. ?

I think online is the way to go. Some country CIC pages list shorter processing times for online applications such as the UAE one.

If you fill an online application, it is very easy to detect a mistake. For example if you forget something, it will not be saved and ask you to fill that information. Secondly it is very easy to find out which documents are required.

According to CIC website, it is recommended to apply ONLINE but from past 3-4 months responses of the embassy, PAPER BASED seems to be more quick.

You will have to go to VAC(vfs global) for your biometrics after submission of your online application.

thnx for the reply bro... so i would go for paper based as i cant take a day off again from my office for biometric.. just need to do all the things at once.

It takes about 5 minutes to do the biometric processing. You won't have to take the day off if there is VAC in your city.

yea but my current city is different than from where i would be applying my visa. so i would need to move to that city i suppose for biometrics.. although both cities have VAC facility available.

Sorry...I don't understand. Why are you going to another city if there is a VAC available in your own city? Your application will be processed by the Canadian embassy in your country regardless of the city you submit your application from.
