I am applying for my son's student visa online and have uploaded most of
the documents and able to login as well but when I get to the point where
you have access your page to upload documents there I am getting error
message which says that currently website could be down etc.
Is anyone facing similar problem or do I start all over again to make a new
file?

A lot of us are experiencing this. I guess you just have to try again. It takes me three tries recently jus to see the status of my application. There is an advisory at the CIC page, written right above, that the service is under maintenance and could be slow (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-services/mycic.asp). What happens when the server is slow is connection requests can easily time out making sending and receiving of data unsuccessful.
