Hi guys! I applied for study permit online on 24th April without upfront medical. I haven't heard from cic yet. Can other pakistani applicants please share their study permit status? Thank you!

Applied on 18th April with upfront medical through VAC Islamabad. No decision from CIC yet.

Thanks for the reply. Are you planning to email the embassy regarding the delay? The processing time is increasing every week and I doubt we have enough time to reapply if God forbid our study permit gets rejected.

Yes, I am planning to email them on Monday. And you're right, we won't have any time to reapply if we are rejected. The only option would be to defer our admissions. I know of a few rejections from Pakistan and they've all come within 3-4 weeks of application. Perhaps it's a good sign then that the embassy is taking longer with our applications?

By the way, what does your CIC account say for eligibility review and background check?

Applied on 15th May with upfront medical. Medical status changed to passed on June 15th. Biometrics is completed. Rest are either under review or in process.

I hope that we get our permits by the end of this week atleast, otherwise, the embassy will be closing on account of eid holidays in less than 4 days.
Eligibility is under review and they are processing my background. Is it true that the background check should change to not applicable?

Where did you hear about the background check? Mine changed to not applicable some time ago.

It changed on 8th June. So, ten days.
