Hi Comrades! After approximately 3 years, 8 months and 15 days I finally and mercifully got my Visa and COPR today. There is a brown colored envelop in the package with my name file number and my visa officer's name on it. I am wondering what is in this envelop. Any clues?

I received my PPR-1 almost a week ago and they have asked for the passport photographs for me and my wife. Since my wife is doing Hijaab so am I allowed to send her photo with Hijaab or do I've to try the other option?

Photos with religious head coverings are allowed as long as they show the full face clearly. Since these PPR photos shall be used for PR card refer to these specs for more detail

is there any problem if I land in winter season with kids?

There is no problem but you must take proper clothes for winter season as you will be staying in a house with heating system...
So no issues at all but you need to be care full that they stay at home when they are not having warm cloths on

Best time to land in Canada is always summer (May to Jul/Aug)
