Rcvd PPR from LDNIMMIGRATION @ international.gc.ca just after 14 days of re-medical. I never rcvd any email from this email id before I wonder is this the correct/official email id of CHC london.
please Could you tell me why did you had to go to re medical? was it because of some changes in personal information such as address change or new born birth.?

It was because of security checks.

It was because medical is valid for a year and the visa was not available at that time so he has to do remedical
First of all, thanks for the plus one !
. Now about your questions. Your first question about the renewal of passport. I would suggest you to go for your medicals with your existing passports and when your medicals will be completed, immediately apply for all the passports which are going to expire within the next 2 years (if there is anyone else is included in your application like wife, children etc to remain on the safe side because this could cause another problem at the time of PPR1 because when they sends the PPR1 letter, they clearly specifies that all the passports must be valid for at-least one year so better do it now). I will also give another valuable suggestion that is when you apply for the renewal of the passport, you must apply it on "URGENT" rather than "ORDINARY" because NADRA faces different problems every now and then resulting in delays in the deliveries of the passports. Also, rest assured that the renewal of passports not at all makes any negative impact on your application (i personally did it even at a stage when my passport was expiring after 20 months) but don't forget to do one thing (so that you can come 100% on the safe side). When you get your new passports in hand, make a photocopy of the passports and send it to the high commission (but only through a courier service) and write a brief letter (mention your file number clearly in the letter) along with the photocopies stating that you have got renewed passports and you are sending the photocopies and request them to update the record of your case and that's all.
Now, your second question. There are no precautionary measures required for the medicals so dont be afraid of it, go for the medicals in a fully relaxed position. In simple words, its a normal kind of medical checkup type of thing.

No offense brother, but This example is incorrect. Coz visa office would NEVER issue u visa validity till June 2014, IF your medical expires on Dec 2013

they r not idiots...they calculate the validity (of both, medical+passport expiry) carefully while giving u visa.
Although i cannot recall where i have heard about one case but the thing which i do remember is that it was a reliable person and was not joking that one family got their visas just 1 week before the expiry of their medicals (whereas the visa validity was of several months) and when they asked about the way-outs, they got a clear answer that they only have that one week to land in Canada and i salute to that brave person that he has done all the things and landed along with his family within that one week.

Visa validity is always relate to medical expiry...........the day medical expire VISA expires...................even if visa issued just a week before medical expiry.....even in that case too applicant has to LAND before medical expiry.....what-so-ever the conditions will be.......
In case of few days left for medical expiry.........generally VO contact applicant that if they can land before medical expiry or not.........
If they are ready to LAND before medical expiry then VISA is issued...............
if they are not ready to LAND then visa is delayed and VO go for either medical expiry date extension OR Re-medicals

yeah i have seen Ppr1 text, its actually pretty simple...
visa expiry coincides with medical expiry... when medical expires, visa expires too.
except
in a situation where passport expiry is before medical expiry, in which case visa expires when passport expires... no matter how much time is left in medical expiry......
... thats why they say in PPr1...'passports must be valid for at least one year after MEDICAL EXAMINATION'...so that medical validity and passport validity time naturally coincide, giving the applicant maximum time to travel....

Alhamdulillah, today I received my passports back from LVO with visas and COPR and forms for children vaccination record which I should get signed by my children doctor as a proof of vaccination. The visas were issued on 30 July 2013 by LVO and they had sent passports to Canadian Embassy in Riyadh. A lady from Canadian Embassy in Riyadh called me in the afternoon and told me she's going to ship passports today via aramex and gave me the tracking number. As tomorrow is the Eid day so I feared the courier will deliver my passports after Eid vacation. I went to aramex warehouse in Riyadh (Exit 16 Sulai) and got my passports just in time

It has been a long and tiring journey to some extent. It took me 3 years and 7 months to reach there.
I want to thank all the members of this forum as I owe a great debt of gratitude for all the help and support provided by all. Special thanks to KhiPak for maintaining the database so faithfully.
I will keep you posted on further developments.I am planning to leave for Canada in Oct last week. I will spend two weeks in London before flying onward to Ottawa. May all of you proceed to the next step very soon.

Hi, as far as the waiting time from medicals to visa issuance is concerned, it is entirely different in each individual case and there is no average time period. Many people got the first request literally within 15 days of medicals whereas there are many who received it after 2,3,6 or 8 months etc.
Now, as far as your traveling is concerned, you have to travel within the validity of your medicals.
Lets take a scenario as an example. Suppose, you have done your medicals on 1st January 2013 (which would expire after one year automatically on 31st of December 2013) and today if you gets your visa where the expiry date is mentioned as 30th June 2014. Now, keeping in view this scenario, you must land in Canada before 31st of December and there is no benefit of having a valid visa till 30th June 2014.
Let me tell you another thing (i don't know if you know this or not). If you are traveling with your family and e.g. you have 4 passports in total then the visas of all of your family members will expire if any of the passport gets expired within the visa or medical validity time. Now, take the above scenario again, suppose if your or any of your family member's passport will expire suppose on 30th November 2013 then you will neither rely on the visa expiry date nor on the medicals validity. In this case, your traveling deadline will end on 30th November. I have mentioned this information just for your facilitation so that if you are not ready from this aspect better be prepared for this.
ALL READERS WHO FIND IT USEFUL, GIVE ME PLUS ONE !! WHY YOU PEOPLE ARE SO SHY IN GIVING PLUS ONE???
