Question for people who have landed in Canada already:

When you land in canada and create a bank account, are you supposed to transfer all settlement funds at once? Can you open an account with bare minimum amount if you're planning to come back in 4-5 months? Does CIC check your bank accounts? I will be leaving soon, I am taking some cash amount with me of few thousands and for rest I plan to show my bank statement. but I wont be able to transfer that bank amount for another few months. I wont be needing the settlement funds immediately over there.

If I understood correctly, u r planning to open your account with minimum amount, go back to your country of residence and come back in 4-5 months.
If that’s the case then no need to worry. Once u landed your file is closed

Hello, my wife and I have got our PPR and we are also expecting. We have decided to have the baby in Lahore and then travel to Canada, i.e. after including baby in the application.

The PPR email also states to inform them in case of pregnancy, how to inform them? Should I reply to same email, and wait for a response for further action?

Or should I just submit my passports with letter of explaination to the relevent visa office?

Any guidence will be much appreciated!

Thats great to know. I will get a certificate from Islamabad Police for which I am gathering documents to cover the 4 year period I stayed in Islamabad. Its from 2002 since we moved in that particular residence in 2002. I turned 11 in 2002.

but why are you getting PCC for tge oeriod beyond last ten years?

I am in isb AOR 6th sept, I got biometrics instruction/request letter around the same time as mep. First I got biometrics request letter then within few hours i passed my medical also. It happened on 28th September. Usually after aor it takes 20-25 days to pass medical.
