What I have read in a few posts is that their case was moved forward to an earlier month’s board meeting, which is why they received the decision sometime in the same month as the "case to board". However, there is no way to know exactly when the board meeting will take place. It’s possible that the meeting occurs at the beginning of the month, and we may receive a favorable decision shortly afterward. These are all assumptions based on previous trends. For now, all we can do is wait and hope for the best.

Your online account is updated in real time if the board meeting decision is positive. It should show P.Eng instead of applicant. if the decision is to defer then you will get an email in the 1st week of next month of the board meeting.

Anyone got updates from APEGA with "Case to Board- May 2024" update by end April?

Submitted my application in Dec 2023, all steps cleared and case to board May 2024. Anyone in the same boat?

What was the reason for your deferral?
Hi everyone, sharing my timeline:

NPPE Exam: Nov, 2022 (Passed)
Application deferred: April-2023
FE Exam: Sep, 2023 (Passed)

Application went to review stage: 16 Nov, 2023
Examiner Review#2: Completed 29 Feb 2024

Experience examiner 2 took almost 2 months in my case as well.

NPPE Exam Scheduled: 3 June, 2024

Hi everyone, I have stated my timeline above ...I am going for Peng or PL in Instrumentation Engineering. I am getting concerned as it is taking awhile for the experience examiner 2 to complete my review.

I know the reviewer may have a backlog. But its been silent for a while.

What Peng degree are you guys being reviewed? Electrical / Mechanical...????

Should I be concerned about the length of time for the experience examiner to complete their review?

Do you know if APEGA recognizes the Washington Accord?

I did my Electrical Engineering degree in the USA (ABET) school. I have 2 years working as an instrumentation specialist for an engineering consultancy in Canada and 10 years working as an instrumentation engineer for an engineering consultancy abroad.

Thanks a lot for your reply! My Case to Board is for May 2024. My NPPE is next week, so if I pass it I should be all good before the board meeting in May. All my work experience was in Canada (~ 3.5 years as of now, and I added my MSc degree to cover the rest of work experience needed; the degree is also from Canada).
please keep us posted when you get a decision from APEGA. Same boat with case to board May -2024.

4 years Canadian experience, foreign graduate with masters degree from Canada. Applied for P.Eng (never registered as EIT) as total experience is 16+ years (12 years foreign + 4 years Canada).

Graduate outside Canada and applied for Licensee. I have submitted 6 years of Drilling engineer experience and completed CBAT and all other requirements. Overall I have 14 years of experience. Application was initiated on 23 August 2023. 2nd Experience Examiner took almost 3 months. Yesterday 3rd Experience Examiner started reviewing. I don't know how long will it take to completed. Any leads?
Can anyone of you please guide me that what are the chances if i have to appear in NPPE exam or FE as well.
