Hello my friends
I just wanted to share my timeline and see how it goes for other fellows
#Main applicant:
-Submitted October 2023
-Received biometric instructions and additional documents in Feb 2024
-Received eligibility and pre arrival letter in December 2024
#Overseas depend:
-Received biometric and additional documents in Feb 2025
-Pre arrival letter in March 2025
Could you please share your recent news and timeline and could please let me know how much more do we have to wait? It started getting frustrating
Also the overseas dependent has Visitor visa, is there any way she could apply for work permit in Canada?
I received PR card this January and immediately applied Visiting visa for my dependant who is overseas. Application currently in background processing. Trusting to receive favorable results like you guys.
For the working visa, I will advice you keep applying, and explaining on the SOP why your dependant needs to work while waiting for PR to be processed. Success!

You need to fill out a Use of a Representative form if you want to apply for your dependent's visa on their behalf. After that, the process is very straightforward: pay the fees, attach any proof of funds, provide details if your dependents have a job, and be completely transparent that they have a PR application in progress.

You mean you where able to process a Visiting visa for your spouse while waiting for PR? And it was processed in your profile? I thought this was impossible, and that the application must be in her profile?
