Outland spousal sponsorship while living in Canada - Where interview?

Hi all,

I'd appreciate your comments on this scenario:

I'd like to sponsor my wife who's living with me in Canada using the OUTLAND application. She holds a student visa. Will she be required to travel to her country of origin for the interview or can it be done here in Canada?

Any insights will be appreciated.

If an interview is required, it will be conducted at the visa office (abroad) that processes her application.

The only way to guarantee an interview in Canada, would be to submit an Inland application...which is not the best option for most applicants, because of the ridiculous processing times.
