Outland Spousal. Questions regarding applying for visitor extension. No AOR yet either.

Wife from the United States and is in Canada. 6 months would be around end of July. Applied Outland in March. Haven't received AOR or anything yet.

Is it ok to apply for extension before AOR? Don't want to wait to last minute to apply for extension.

What do you put for "To date"? Enter 1 year date from date submitting extension application?

3, (a) Funds available for my stay (CAD)
Do you just list what have available now in bank? What about husband's monthly income, credit card limits, etc.?

2, c) Have you previously applied to enter or remain in Canada?
Do you put Outland Spousal Sponsorship down?

Drove across border and no stamps in passport.

Yes you can apply before receiving AOR but include proof that you have applied for sponsorship and a receipt As proof of payment for sponsorship. Would only apply for an extension close to the 6 month mark. You can leave a few extra days to make sure you don’t run into any problems/ questions. You could also request a 1 year extension (if possible) in the hopes that you will have the sponsorship approved by that point.
