Hi,
I was reading some posts about Outland Or inland application, and now I am confused!

In my case, I am in Canada and my visa was expired. I was preparing my inland sponsorship application(spousal) and it is mostly done. But, I am confused between taking inland or outland option for some reasons,
-by inland, I need to get a work permit but I think It is impossible to get it before 9 months(first step) and I don't know how much time it will takes for the second steps until I get my PR (I am living in Quebec). so totally, it could takes 18 months or maybe more!
-by outland, it takes 6-9 months (processing time in my national country), but the question here, can I submit an outland application and I am still in Canada? I am confusing because, in general, CIC knows that I am still in Canada however I am submitting an outland application!!!

I prefer the outland as it takes less time, but the question, can I apply for it while I am in Canada or I have to leave? which is impossible because I can't leave my wife(my sponsor) alone in Canada with our new baby while I return back to my country and waiting for at least 6-9 months until I get my Visa and return back to Canada!

Thank you if you have any advice for my case,

If you apply inland and apply to restore your status at the same time, they generally do not deport you. If you apply outland, they might. How long are you staying in Canada illegally? If it is less than 3 months, it is fairly easy to restore your status.

Hi,
It is more than 3 months,
I started my inland application before my visa was expired, but unfortunately, I found lately that my application was not sent by the lawyer who I hired to prepare my file!<FRAUD>!,
Anyway, I am preparing the outland application, but I am finding some difficulties with filling up some questions, like my status in Canada, my actual residence...and so on. As I am in Canada and applying for outland application!
How can I restore my status in Canada?

Thank You

You can call CIC and ask. Tell them your lawyer was supposed to send it in months ago and he took your money and ran. If it was less then 3 months, all you would have to do is fill out a form and pay.
