Whoopi - UK travel insurance will cover delivery costs as well???? Are you sure about that? If that's the case then WOW!

Yep... the facts were, my sister in law, brit on holiday in Vancouver, had full travel insurance from UK, went into labour early (can't remember how early but not dangerously so) insurance covered delivery in sunny BC! As I said, I'm unsure how it works in the US as the health system is remarkably different....

I think I'll be maintaining my US insurance, and having the baby in the US.

Just so you're aware: if you do this, and unless the law changes, your child will be Canadian, but will not be able to pass on Canadian citizenship by descent. (I'm assuming your fiancé is a Canadian citizen—if he's a PR, your child won't be Canadian.)
