Hi guys,

We are having a very strange problem now!

My partner is sponsoring me for PR, and we chose the outland process because the time length is shorter according to cic website. We consulted a lawyer about the application package, and she told us specifically that there was no need of the medical report until the immigration office requesting it during the process. But,,,,,it turned out,,,,,,you do need to finish the medical examine and include the report in the application.......:(

My partner got an email this morning say:

"You are missing the following:
· An original Medical Report Form (IMM1017 Copy 2) signed by a Designated Medical Practitioner (DMP) for the person(s) you are sponsoring. This must be received at this office by: 11/21/2012"

But Form IMM1017 is for inland applications!

He got through the call centre (almost like a miracle), and they said they could see our file on their side, it was showing "missing medical report" and "Outland".

So,,,,,what's happening now??? Which form should I use? Did the person who sent the email just make a mistake?

BTW, As I said, we applied outland because it takes shorter time, but I am living in Canada. Could that be the reason why they are asking for the inland form?

IMM 1017 (copy 2) is the copy that the doctor (DMP) gives you when they've completed your medical. If you look on the document checklist under "Sponsored person and family members," it's listed there as IMM 1017.
