I was doing some last minute review of my application package. I just realized that the IMM0008 form was updated in November and I ended up using the version prior to this revision. I have been working on the package for a couple of months. Is it still acceptable to submit the old version? Would they return the application due to an outdated form? This is so frustrating..arrrrgh.
I am thinking its probably best to have my wife fill and sign the latest version. I would hate for my application to be returned because of this.
We just sent our application away today and we had to transfer the information from almost every form onto revised forms since we had them all filled in a year ago on the forms from that time. Generally, they will accept the old forms for about 3 months after the new forms come out. At this point, I think you're better off cutting and pasting everything onto the new one. I have heard of at least one case where they returned an outdated form to be resubmitted.
Thanks for letting me know. Yes, it would be terrible if they return the application. It is frustrating having to redo the form and have it couriered from overseas. I don't see any physical differences in the two versions at all except for their published date on the lower left corner. It is a bar code form so maybe they have incorporated something in the background which we can't see physically. I will just have to be patient
Hi, could you please give me the proof of this information? It is extremly important for me now due to I have the same issue with my package: sent it 04/07 and they changed the form a few days later.. Thanks!

Since she said generally so I don't know if there is any proof. But if they changed the form after you mailed it, I think you have nothing to worry about it. You used the most recent form at the time you mailed the application, it would have been impossible for you to use the newest one. Don't worry about it!
Seems we are all in the same boat we did the same thing and submitted our application without updating to the new forms. Fingers crossed they dont send them back. I can't see it being in their best intrests to spend all that money sending back applications, but who knows!

Did you apply Inland or Outland? I applied Inland back in February and had my entire application returned to me unprocessed at the end of June due to 1 outdated form. If you really want to cover all bases I think you can mail in the new form with your UCI if you have one.
I applied outland, I suppose given the length of time they take to process inland applications may have been a factor in them sending it back to you, although it seems a bit harsh to me when they could just email and ask for the forms to be resubmitted. We dont have a number yet as the application was just received yesterday, so I guess ill just have to hold tight and see what happens!
