Ottawa Office forwarded my Application to Buffalo AGAIN !!!

yeah thats for sure , anyway how much do you think the delay between meds done and PRP from Ottawa Pilot??

From what I see between 4 to 6 months after the medical. less than 4 and more than 6 months cases are exceptional depends on their Visa Officer, Background and the country they are originally from. Good Luck

That's the case! I just got my entry visa extented about 10 days ahead of my ppr. Waste my $150.

For me it will be $450, as I have to extend work permits and study permits for my whole family.

Application Submitted: 7th December 2010
Medical Requested: July 2011
Landing Fees Requested: October 2011

Since then i didn't hear anythign from them, i sumbitted application to Buffalo. I sent couple of emails to them.. all them time they reply "Your case is in process.." that's it...


Is there anyway to reach them via phone?

I will really appreciate your help.

That's a big ouch! however, you don't know when you gonna get your ppr. so, if i were you, i still want visa extension to be on the safe side.

I called cic and they told me to apply for the renewal 3weeks before the expiration date, the work permit processing time is 14 days now. So I will wait till June 1st as a last chance.

Somehow i got Catherine's email address, she is Immigration Program Manager in buffalo. She replied me by saying that my file needs to be sent to CPP-Ottawa for additional background check however she doesn't exactly know why my file is sent to Ottawa again [that's what i assume from his email..again]. Its wierd, its been almost 6 months after they have received medical results and still they didn't have sent files to CPP-Ottawa. I don't know how long that will take, anyone has any idea? do they need to do security check from home country? if they do then it will take ages.. I applied for my security clearance two years ago and i'm still waiting, do they want same security clearance for PR as well?? I am living in Canada for almost four years... the process is not driving me crazy its taking longer than usual..

That is weird! Forward her email to OttPilot-immigration@cic.gc.ca asking for clarifications. It could be a visa officer mistake.

From my experience; Ottawa is much better than Buffalo office. There is nothing to lose anyway.
