10 months...going, going, almost gone! >:(
Hey everyone, glad to see you are all still here, and reading recent posts it seems we are not the only ones getting close to the end of our tethers. We are seriously thinking about staying in the UK now, not just because of the farce that is the CPP-O, but also financially we are having to make a lot of sacrifices to our original plans due to the poor exchange rate and drop in house prices here in the UK.
Anyway keep posting, we are watching and reading.
All the best to all of you.

Agree with you absolutely. I am with you. I am most likely staying put in the UK too. Hey, the Exchange rate is not favorable at all.
Not sure immigrating after waiting so looong (40 Months), without any documents update letter yet is a good idea . I feel like I have been scammed. Good one from them.
One of the major reasons for moving from the UK was about us affording to buy a bigger House in Canada at the cost of a settled life and an already built career, which is no longer worth it and being able to afford a bigger place is now more likely to happen here in the UK sooner or later. I was speaking to one of my friends who has actually dropped the idea already. So, You are not "going to walk alone".
All the best to you too.

Yeah, not only that, but the cost of getting to Canada keeps going up as well. We are shipping six Siberian Husky dogs and the cost has gone up nearly 50% since we first applied. It feels as though everything is conspiring against us. The only thing keeping us going at the moment is the thought of all the time and effort we have put into our plans.
In a perverse way, it is good to know that we are not the only ones thinking like this.

I wonder if anyone from London (CHC) visits this blog, to understand the level of frustration
I wake up, I check my emails, check this blog, I go to work, check my emails, check the blog
at work, check my emails, check the blog, on my way home from work, check my emails, check the blog
at home, check my emails, check the blog, go to bed hoping an email when i wake up, and when i wake up
check my emails, check the blog, need to step a step back and see, what are we about, will this circle end?

It's not only you though, i think most of us are like that !!! ;) What I would say is to take it easy, I'm trying to calm down thinking that it's atleast another 2 months before I might get PPR, if i get before that, it will be a bonus, after 2 months time, I might decide something else then, who knows. My main aim to go to Canada is because all my family and parents are there so no stress in terms of housing or expenses as such in the beginning. Wishing best of luck to everyone.

Another 2007er, the bloke applied in March 2007, so definitely a long wait there for him, i guess due to new born as well. Thanks for sharing it mate.

Just in case some of us are beginning to lose hope:

Thought I'd give divination a shot. We've got a deck of "Healing with the Fairies" oracle cards at home, so we drew one at random to see what's in store for us, just for a laugh:

Letting Go
You aren't receiving positive results (no kidding :P) because you're struggling too much to solve the problems. By letting go, you're opening yourself up to a miraculous resolution.
...
Stop thinking about the problem, since a focus on negativity can manifest even more negativity (email CPPO or London, and the reply will make you even more depressed!)
...
You will instantly feel relief, and will be gratified to see how easily and naturally the situation resolves itself. (come on CHC magic man, work your miracle on me!)

:P :P :P
For our reggae-loving friends here, Bobby McFerrin would sing "In every life we got some trouble, when you worry you make it double, so don't worry, be happy!"

Ok, we'll just "let go then", stop worrying and think about something else. Anyway after our "can't do anything when you're stuck in limbo" moment last week, we decided to do something crazy and take a quick last minute holiday. Stockholm, here we come! Now that means we'll be away with our passports... "It would be soooooo unlucky to receive the PPR while we're away, let us hope this doesn't happen!" (you got to read this with the most sarcastic tone possible ;D!)

Hey M+JM, what a great way out and nice solution of the problem. How long you are going for mate? We'll definitely miss you buddy.

3 days ;D But hey in that time a lot can happen, when we come back you'll all be gone to You Know Where!
