I have trouble determining whether I will meet the 1-year work experience requirement of CEC:
I started working on Aug. 6th, 2019 at my current company as a full-time employee, I predict that the next draw will happen on Aug.6th, 2020, so I wonder:
Can I submit my EE profile now and be able to accept the ITA if I get an invitation on Aug.6th, 2020? Or it is safer to submit profile after Aug.6th and wait for the Aug.20th draw?
If you are above the cutoff score then you will get an ITA. It might be safer to wait if your score is well above the recent trends, as if you apply and they decide you didn't meet the requirements as of the date you got the ITA, they will refuse your application. (The system actually issues ITAs beginning at 10 or 11 months of Canadian experience, which people have to decline.)
Not sure of the actual rules, but this is what happened to me:
I received my ITA on my 11th month, accepted, and submitted the application right after my 1st work anniversary. I’m a PR now.
Also, a friend got her ITA early September and her work anniversary was October 28. She accepted the ITA, submitted her application Sept 24, and got her PR too.
Remember that they only count 30 hours and anything exceeding 30 hours won't be considered. Also they clearly mentioned that you should complete 12 months.
