I did my medicals for CEC in October - waiting since then. My PGWP expired in September and I changed my status to Visitor record. I understand that now they have launched the bridge Open Work Permit.
I filled out CIC's online questionnaire and it said I'm eligible for Open Work Permit. Now from what I've read at other places, you need to have a valid WP to be eligible but apparently that's not the case when you fill out the form. Any ideas?
In case, not eligible - then if my last employer now wants to apply for LMO, can they still do it without showing recruitment efforts since I was on PGWP when employed there?

1. You are not eligible for the bridging work permit as you don't have a valid work permit.
2. Your employer has to show recruitment efforts before applying for the LMO as you are not working on a PGWP anymore, as you are a visitor.
