Applying Bridge WP and Closed WP at the same time

Hi,
My CEC application is in process and I am eligible to apply Open WP. And I have a job offer and would like to apply close work permit with the job offer. I am wondering, whether i can keep both bridge WP and Close WP application at the same time. Does it make any problem?

There were instances where the BOWP was rejected by the officer if there is already an application in processing for a closed WP with a positive LMO attached to it.

Read this note from CIC

"The applicant is then required to persuade his/her current employer to reapply for another LMO through HRSDC, or find a new employer altogether who is willing to hire him/her and go through the application process in obtaining an LMO. As an alternative, the applicant could apply to remain in Canada and extend their status as a visitor but then they would be unauthorized to work. Otherwise, they must leave Canada as they no longer have status".

It seems that you already found an employer who is willing to hire you. So there might be a possibility that your BOWP might be rejected if you also file for a closed WP at the same time with a positive LMO attached to it.

Any way I will keep BWP application.

Hi

Can you please let me know how to apply for Open WP? I have file number for PR under CEC and my existing closed WP will expire in few months. I checked IMM5710E.pdf but its not clear on how to renew for Open bridged? Work Permit.

Im not changing my employer but having open WP will help? Also does my Health benefits affect with Open WP (but still have a same job)
