Open work Permit vs Bridge Open work permit

I came to Canada on a Work Permit(ICT) and my wife got a dependent VISA.She got a Visitor record at the port of entry . Based on the same she got an open work permit and started working here .Now my Work Permit expires in 3 months and I am asked to renew the same by my organisation . Meanwhile I also applied for PR and got an AOR number . Now I am in dilemma
1 Do I need to renew my Work permit, get another dependent Visa for my wife and get an open work permit for her again ? If yes how long this process would take ?
2 Since my current WP expires in less than 4 months I think I am entitled to apply for bridge open work permit . Can I apply bridge work permit for my wife instead?

Any help would be much appreciated !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
