open work permit validity

Hi everyone! I'm a temporary resident in Canada with an open work permit.. I went home for a vacation. but i didn't apply for an extension of my WP before leaving Canada. Now my work permit is valid only for a month, the earliest flight that I got will be on the 2nd of july,by that time my OWP's validity is only 15 days once I get there...Will the officers still allow me at the port of entry,? i still have a valid re-entry visa though...does anyone experienced this before...im just sooo worried...please help..

if you have an employer here waiting, it may not be a problem. better call the cbsa(canada border services agency)...they can best answer your question...good luck! c",)

thanks so much appreciate ur reply,anyway is the CBSA same with the CIC Call center?I'm in in the Philippines right now,can I phone them here.? Yes I will work with my previous employer,im just worried because it says at the back of my work permit to renew it at least 30 days before it will expire.

cbsa are those people working in the border to ensure the safety of canada from people travelling inside and outside of the country; they are the ones who may deem you admissible or not...they are different from the cic as cic deals with the immigration processes...c",)

Why dont you apply right now online for extension of your work permit

If you have a valid re-entry visa, you should be fine.
But given the remaining date on your WP, the officer may ask for your return ticket to prove that you will be out of Canada by then.

As for extending your WP, I am not sure if you can do it outside of the country.
Do you not require a LMO to extend your WP?

Hi,i tried it here via online but the forms that they gave me is not fit for me,i would like to apply for an extension,once I get back,i have a multiple re-entry visa,so do u guys think I will still be admissible? sooo worried...help please...
