Open work permit extension

Hi,
Hi All,

My work permit gets expires on Sept 2012 and my spouse has open work permit till Sept 2011.

If my wife needs to stay with me what should I do..either extend work permit or change status to visitor.

If the status is changed to visitor, is there any limitation like 6 months only to status.

Your spouse can send an app to extend her OWP. Attach a copy of your WP. I am assuming your job type is skilled.

Do I need to submit online or need to visit any office for this extension.

I have one more question, is there time gap for the open work permit also? to be clear, like extension of work permit we need to apply for 90 days before so similar it applies for work permit also.

Apply before the expiration. The expiration of the OWP will be co-terminus with your WP or the expiration of the passport which ever is earlier.
