open work permit based on spouse open workpermit

Hello All,

i am on closed work permit, and My spouse is on open work permit, in one of the discussion i read that i can apply open workpermit on basis of my spouse open permit, now unable to get that thread when i browse through. As well have not got any information on this in CIC web site.

Can any one let me know where can i find that information, If at all that is possible??? Does any one has obtained open work permit like this??

On what basis did your spouse obtain an open work permit? Is it something like a PGWP? Or did your spouse obtain the open work permit based on your closed work permit? You need to provide more information.

It was based on my closed work permit..

In that case you cannot apply for an open work permit. So no - certainly not possible in your situation.

It would only be possible if your wife held something like a Post Graduate Work Permit.
