Do you think the "French-Speaking Skilled Workers Stream" applications will be processed this year?

Apparently, all those from Dec 2015, Jan 2016, Feb 2016, March 2016 for Human Capital are getting "additional docs request" and "nomination"...

When will our turn come ??? ::)

Most of us got pt and aor after them. So that they got that far is positive.

Guys do we have any info on whether switching english to first language might invalidate the invitation? If in Q1 2017 scores might go down to 440, I am at 440 if english is first.

not sure. For sure you shall inform Ontario about any changes on your EE account.

i dont see it makes sense to inform them that i put english as a first language. Problem is french stream is a bit confusing. They never specified that french should be first language and they didnt say it is a requirement like the 400 points of human capital. It was through this forum that we realized that. Anyway, i will not attempt anything before I am sure i will get direct ita. Maybe only then i will change it before 1 day. We will see.

Salut everyone!

I am going through the options of getting the PR (Monrpoject Quebec was a joke, now thinking to go directly through EE with English as 1st language or to try to get the Ontario Nomination by French stream).

Today I found this:

Types of work permits for your situation
You’re a French-speaking or bilingual skilled worker who intends to work in a Francophone community outside Quebec
Based on your answer, you may be eligible for an employer-specific work permit if you:

will live and work in a Francophone community outside Quebec,
have been recruited through a Francophone immigration promotional event coordinated between the federal government and francophone minority community stakeholders,
use French on a daily basis, and
will work in a job at a National Occupation Code (NOC) skill level of 0, A or B.
You do not have to work in French to be eligible for this permit. However, we may ask you to complete language testing after you apply. You must get a score of 7 on the TEF: Test d’évaluation de français (available in French only).

If you apply online, you should provide a letter of explanation that briefly explains how you meet these requirements.

Before you submit your work permit application, your employer must:

submit an offer of employment to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada,
pay a $230 employer compliance fee, and
provide you with an offer of employment number.
How to apply

If this is your first work permit under an LMIA exemption for Francophones working outside Quebec, you must:

fill out the Application for Work Permit Made Outside Canada (PDF, 345.06 KB), and
apply online or to a Visa Application Center (VAC).
If you’re already working in Canada under an LMIA exemption for Francophones, you can apply to extend your work permit.

Note: When you complete your work permit application, select “Exemption from Labour Market Impact Assessment” as the type of work permit in the “Details of intended work in Canada” section.

Get more details on how to apply for a work permit.

Its on cic.gc.ca. So must be legit.
Has anyone tried going through this one?

Cheers!

I guess you hope for sudden drop of ITA points and to get invitation directly. Still changing lanuage is an important change in your EE profile. So I would consider informing Ontario about it. They did specify that you shall inform them about these type of changes (job change, personal status change or others).

That is so called Mobilite Francofone and it will only give you temporary work permit. Plus you need to have a job offer to ask for that type of work permit.
TEF 7 or more in all skills is considered to be Francofone.

Hi all,

Right now my CRS score : 471.

I also received a PT Notification of Interest from OINP a week ago.

Should I send my application for the French-Speaking skilled workers stream or should I wait for the new draw ?

Am I a 100% sure that I will get an ITA for the next draw with my current CRS score ?
Or is it possible to not get an ITA, even if we have more than the lowest CRS score displayed for each draw ?

Thanks all

I guess you were right. Congratulation on your ITA!!
All the best for the rest of the journey.

Guys, you can remove me from that list. I have received an ITA.
