I dont think its a smart way coz your file wont be a complete file. In most cases the processing completes before FBI expiry and in worst case we need to be ready with second set to use them in right time when CIC requests with wasting time.
Most of the people who applied in Jan 2010 applied without FBI and got visa within 9 months of applying. One priya86 got it within one month after she did her medicals.
You are right in the sense that your file will be complete and ur suggestion is the ideal one....
But if we had not waited for FBI and applied in Jan 2010, (nomination in Dec 2009) we would have had ppr and thats too many ifs and buts ;D ......
But again there is no hard and fast rule with CIC..if u are lucky you will get it fast or else patience is the name of the game....
Things are crazy man!! Why the hell they are asking for FBI certificates again? What is the validity of those certificates? My FBI certificate was dated Feb-2010, my app went to CIC on April 9, 2010. Can someone tell me if I need to get ready again with these f@#&ing certificates?? God..please help me.
Well, that's a lesson for me and another story, instead of having the police in the country I lived in producing the PCC, I had another agency of the government do it. Buffalo didn't accept it and so now I sent them the PCC from the police department instead...

I remember you had mentioned in your mail that you got the request from Detroit that you have to submit the additional documents like employer job confirmation your pay stub etc.. the same I got it too and I had submit the same Last week . I was wondering when you got your email from Detroit that your case is on final stage and how many days it really took after submitting the additional documents to you ..if you could please in light ..
Thanks
Are they really valid for only 3 months? I was under the impression they were good for an year, if there were good for just 3 months everybody's certs would b expired i guess, the Officer that had asked me was an ass i guess, mine is dated feb 20th 2010 and he requested the new ones on March 1st 2011, on Jan 17th he requested DOB Certs which I religiously sent within a week, I guess if the FBI Certs were to be valid for only 3 months he would have asked them on Jan 17th itself along with the DOB Certs. Hopefully I get the FBI Certs back fast and send them back, after receiving them he might ask me to send something else maybe Police certs from Home country, who knows.. if I get the Immig I go if not f&*% them. I tried
