Hey guys, I received AOR and medical request today... two questions:
1. I need two passport photos for each person. Do I need to use US size or Canadian size?
2. My vision is not so good so I ware glasses. Is vision important for the medical exam?
Thanks!

Hi,
Following are the links CIC sends at time of PPR.
http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/buffalo/imm/passports_passeports.aspx

You can refer these to be prepared
Thanks,

1- I will let someone else answer that, as I don't remember the details since I did my med. Summer 2010.
2- In my case the Dr.'s office tested/recorded the followings:
Blood Pressure, Blood sample, Urine sample, X-rays, height, weight, vision(you read those letters on the wall), and the full physical by the medical doctor. So as long as you can read the letters on the wall with or without glasses, you should be OK.
FYI, I did the med. exam on Aug. 26, 2010 and the CIC received (directly from the doctor's office via FEDEX) on Sept. 9th. 2010.
Hope this helps you.
Regards.

I agree with dear_pnp, The decision made status is displayed once they send across the passport request but one can still reconsider the application at that stage. In my case it changed after the passports stamped.
Thanks calgary2010

You need to get 35mm x 45mm pictures.
Try www.epassportphoto.com for the pictures.
Select Canada as country and select 3.5 x 4.5 size to format your pictures.
Download the image and print it in 4x6 photo size to give you 7 tiled copies.
You can print in any walmart or sears self printing booth and cut them to 7 pictures in 3.5 x 4.5 size.
Wearing glasses does not negatively impact your medical exams. They look for terminal disorders or anything that could be a threat to to general public in terms of being contagious or something that will be a burden on the healthcare system.

I called the clinic nearby and they said US passports are fine. But I'm going to print Canadian-sized as well like you suggested.
My vision with glasses are probably only 0.5 or 0.6 on a 1.5 scale. The clinic said it didn't matter. What do you suggest? Should I go and get a better pair of glasses?
