Online visit visa application: signatures

I am applying for my father's visit visa to Canada. Adobe Acrobat isn't allowing me to sign the following forms:
1) The main form IMM5257 (barcodes are generated on this page when I validated it)
2) Family Information IMM5645 (No option to generate barcodes)

My question is, do I need to print both forms, sign and scan them?

Hi! I'm on the same boat wondering if my parents need to sign the forms. Did you get the application processed okay?
