Online study permit application, application updated but nothing visible

Hello,
I made an online application on June 2nd, have passed medicals and today I received an email that my application (xxxxxxxxx) has been updated please sign in to see the status and messages. However there was nothing new in the status and no new message either.
Last time this occurred was a day before I was sent a form to undergo medical as a message in July. I wanted to ask people did they receive something similar to this before their passport was requested?

i think thats a good sign inshaAllah cz it means your application has moved up by one processing step. Any updates since then? Ive noticed its taking around 3 months to get the permit, since you applied on June 2nd, you should get it soon iA
I applied online from Bahrain on June 17th, the processing time all this while was 5 wks, then it increased to 6 wks and last night it became 11 wks :'(

No friend, no updates since then. They're pretty surely taking 3 months I heard that too. In fact they have a standard email which is sent as soon a month is completed. Last night I received that standardised email saying there has been no updates to my application thank you for my patience.
I am unsure whats going on. Hopefully something would be sent to me next week.
