Online Payment with Visa Debit Card from TD, is it possible?

Hello Everyone,

I don't have a credit card , but I have Visa Debit card from TD. Is it possible to pay online with it?

From the CIC website http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/result.asp?countrySelect=CA&lob=prcf
I see that they accept some debit cards, but I am not sure whether my debit card will work?

I will apply at the end of June and meanwhile I am wondering should I request the receipt IMM5401?

As stated at that site, a debit card affiliated with Visa or MasterCard will not work "as a debit card." You could try it as a credit card and see if that works.

It doesn't have to be your credit card. Just ask a friend to pay for you.

It seems that this card which I have from TD will not work out for the citizenship fee payment.

Yes, someone else (relative or friend) can use their credit card to make the payment. Here's another thread on that subject:
