I am unable to enter Canada before Sept by which time my classes would have started. Fortunately, my univ is doing both in-person and online classes so I have opted for online courses. Suppose I enter Canada in Oct or Nov, will it cause problems during immigration? Since my courses are online, I am worried they will say it is non-essential travel.

Do you know of anyone who has entered Canada despite enrolling in online classes? Please share immigration experience.

You need proof of enrollment and your valid LOA

As long as you have enrolled and have proof of registration, enrolment and tuition paid, you should be fine. Border officers don't know which school have online, in-person or hybrid classes. They will get all their info from your enrolment and registration documents.

My fall classes are fully online but it doesn't say so on my letter. I had no issues entering Canada.

Did you enter mid-semester? I am worried they will think I have missed classes by not being in Canada or ask questions about it since I might go in Oct or Nov
