There is no "official" confirmation. You will get your results immediately after the test, but these are temporary. If you go to your tracker and you see that the citizenship test is "Complete," you'll know that an officer has validated your test/results. On average, this seems to be taking between 3 to 4 weeks for most applicants, but some are seeing this within days, and I know someone who has been waiting for over 2 months. If all goes well, the next email you'll receive from IRCC will be your oath invitation!
Hey all,
After answering the first question, i realized that my email tab was still open. When i proceeded to close the tab it gave me a notification, did anyone experience the same and got his results confirmed? would this be of any concern ?
Thanks

Sorry, I modified my answer as you were replying haha. On average, this seems to be taking between 3 to 4 weeks for most applicants, but some are seeing this within days, and I know someone who has been waiting for over 2 months.

Not gonna lie, I am pretty shocked to see citizenship applicants trying to find ways to cheat in the test (and openly posting about it in these forums). Personally, even if I could cheat, that's not the way I would want to start my life as a Canadian...
1. The test page will NOT load (9/10 times) when you are using a VPN. I have tested this personally. You'll see a 403 error.
2. It is misrepresentation and the easiest way to get caught. CBSA started collecting exit records from June 2020. So, they know you are outside the country and you can't take the test. Why get banned for 5 years when you can simply reschedule and take the test another time. If you get an interview after the test, the applicant will be a literal sitting duck. No excuses can be given other than "I was not aware I'm not supposed to take test outside Canada" which they certainly won't buy. The instructions in the email are clear.
Test status doesn't usually show up on ECAS. The "Citizenship Test" status will be updated to "Completed" in the New Citizenship status Dashboard . For most applicants, this happens within 2 - 5 working days but some people wait longer than others for reasons unknown (as usual).
Hi all, given that my test was updated to "Complete" in my tracker, I just wanted to answer a couple of questions that I've seen on here in case it helps anyone!
1. I accidentally kept my email open in another tab while taking the test. This was not an issue. I did not try to close it when I noticed it, though; I stayed on the exam page the whole time.
2. I was partially visible behind my ID in the picture (no face, but I didn't try to hide from the camera or anything). This was not an issue.
3. I did not receive a confirmation email. You have to check the tracker.
Feel free to ask me any questions. Happy to help where I can!
