I did request a confirmation and IRCC Vancouver (my file is in Scarborough office) confirmed to me. But this was last March (a week before emergency). You can ask them to confirm receicpt, send a web form and they will be able to confirm it. You can use this opportunity to ask for status too. Good luck
I have a question for you if you don’t mind. Since your ceremony is today, would you mind sharing any details regarding a citizenship certificate? The website says you should receive it at the ceremony which i think they are referring to in-person ceremonies, but i have come across posts that some are still waiting for theirs for months.
I actually wrote to my MP the other day (I live in Vancouver) because I received my AOR in September 2019, was asked to submit my fingerprints in December 2019, and had been scheduled to take the test on April 1 2020; only to have it cancelled on March 15, 2020. What this means is that I've been waiting for almost a year to receive a rescheduled test invite, and the only information I can ever get regarding my file whether by calling or messaging through a Webform is that it's "in process". I'm still waiting to hear back from my MP.
Honestly speaking, I've decided to just hunker down for the long run and renew my PR Card (since I'll need it to access services in my Province), the latter of which I never thought I need to do. The only respite in all this is that I'm certain that I'm eligible for citizenship, otherwise I wouldn't have been invited to take the test in the first place.
