Online citizenship test completed, waiting for next steps

So do I need to apply for my Citizenship first using the application and forms before I am invited to the test? It's not very clear...

I am just starting this process and I already have PR in Canada.

Yes, you need to make an application for Citizenship Grant if you would like to become a Canadian citizen.

thanks, yeah, it's a virtual ceremony. I haven't gotten the invitation via email yet, but the status was updated on July 15th on the tracker

Mississauga office - Test was completed on May 27, Decision Made on June 6. Waiting for Oath Invitation

Hello everyone, I completed my test on the 25th of June and I passed it. But then worries because I mistakingly took my face picture in the box that was suppose to be for the ID picture. I don’t know if they might ask me to retake the test since I don’t have my ID on it. Just my face was on it. please help!!

Yes you will have to retake the test if you uploaded your photo instead of ID.

Yes, if you never did take a picture of your ID for the test, you will, with almost 100% certainty have to re-take the test.

I recall reading about one case where the applicant clicked the picture of the ID in the digital photo placeholder and clicked photo of his/her face in the ID placeholder. It is cloudy as to what the outcome was but I think the test results were validated without issues. But, be careful - read the instructions and proceed with caution.
