One-year work experience? Traveling allowed during this one year?

Hi guys, I have two questions. Appreciated if anyone could answer them for me.

1. My first offer is from 8/31/2020-12/18/2020, and my second offer is 1/4/2021-8/27/2021. Therefore the total number of paid weeks is 50 weeks. Will this work experience be counted as one-year for CEC?

2. During this one year of working, can I travel to US to visit a friend for a week? That means I’ll be working for one week not in Canada territory.

The government is not recommending any non essential travel (such as visit a friend for a week)!

1. No - this won't count as a year. You need a full 52 weeks. You are short two weeks to claim a year of work experience in Canada.
