I graduated from a Canadian University as an international student and worked in Canada for a year in a related field to my studies as a foreign worker (under implied status because I didn't get my PGWP, yet). When I applied for Permanent Residence - Express Entry, the system ended up placing me in the Skilled Worker Class pool and not the Canadian Experience Class pool. Does anyone know what is wrong?

No, it is not rejected. Just have been processing until now. I am currently under implied status and authorised to work in Canada according to IRCC officers.

You are authorized to work but you haven’t been approved for a PGWP. Others can chime in but you may not be able to claim a year until your PGWP is approved. Why? Because if your PGWP is rejected/refused then your Canadian experience would not count.

Based on the informtion you've provided, it does sound like you should qualify under CEC. I would recommend that you review your profile again and check all of your responses closely. If you do in fact qualify but your EE profile is not showing this, this means you've answered one or more question incorrectly.
