old applicants who filed new application (fast Track) & not withdrawn old one

Lets join this thread & share our experiences as after research on this forum and comments from senior members; i am also about to apply under a fast track without withdrawing my old application filed in sep 2006. Under the old system i could be able to get my updation letter after a year probably while i think that under a new system (fast track) i could get a visa stamped in 1-1/2 year. I m willing to forfeit my old application fee even ' cause it is worth it i think...

All those old applicants who have filed a new appl. please share your experience as whether CHC has any objection in filing two applications ... any one who's processing has started under anew file....

Your valuable comments will help many old applicants like me who are enough frustrated now

plz do update if CID approve new application without withdrawing old one so that i put new application.

I applied (my wife as pricipal applicant in both) in 2007 from new delhi office and re-applied in fast track in nov-2009 at London office and get AOR in Jan 2010 for second application. Reference number given was same and i can see both my appplication in E-cas.

hi deepak,
what did CHC asked you for their requirements.
didnt they raised any concern as if u were suppose to withraw it.
in my case i applied under category 2171 (MIS) and now i will apply with code 213.
dont u think they will disqualify me based on previously i applied with different code and now with different.
plz do update us about anything u feel like would help us.

There is no problem at all if the jobs you previously applied was in IT and new one stays in IT as well and they will never have problem if you are progressing in your career and they have different NOC for that position.

They will have concern if a IT guy starts to work in completely different area.

Please mention this in one of the form that you already have application in process and give reference numbers.

oh definitely you have to mention that in your new application and so i did..
Otherwsie it wil be case of misrepresentation and then rejection.

Well, my old application reached CHC ND in Feb 2007, just before the changes came into effect.

Now, I have applied under fast track and received the AOR for full docs (2nd AOR) 2 weeks back.

Applicants can have 2 applications in at once. You don't need to withdraw the old one but as someone said you need to declare that you have one in process when applying again. My advice would be not to withdraw it as you have already paid for it and won't receive a refund. Let both run and see which comes first unless they ask you to withdraw one.

can anyone please suggest me way forward as yesterday i received my old application check (i requested CHC and CIO to withdraw my application last month so that i apply with new process).
the only confusion is that i have not received any letter with that check saying any reason for return of check or should i consider this is coz of my withdraw request.
should i make copy of check to use it in my new application telling them i have withdrawn old one.
i will be putting new application soon so help would be really appreciated.
any suggestion/advice to take care of for putting new application?
