You can have EE Profile created and get into the pool. Once you receive OINP nomination, you can update the profile with nomination. this will fetch you 600 additional points for your CRS score.

What I mostly read on the different threads, it said International Student stream is non-EE. Do we get to choose when we get a nomination? Also, does anyone know what's the next status after DIP?

after DIP , just wait for nomination. Assesment is cleared , so you are good with all documentation
OINP is ontario province government, EE is Federal government.
whether you apply to OINP or not , Provinces scans EE Profiles periodically and pick the candidates from EE Pool.
if you are elgible for one of the 3 categories , then goahead and create the EE Profile and join the Pool.
