I applied through oinp international student with job offer stream on Monday 22nd oct,2018 and yesterday my status changed from submitted to assessment.is that a good thing ?

Hi Sunyr96,

I got the Provincial nomination confirmation and have submitted my Federal PR Application to the Immigration Office at NS by January 8th, 2019. It arrived to the Office by January 10th , 2019. How long would you think till I get to the next step?

Also, could you please share your experience at the moment/timeline on whether you have received Medical Request, Pr confirmation,Pr Card...?
I truly need to find an answer for this one since I have to go back to my country during the process to visit my Grand Parents in the Hospital.
Any input would be much appreciated.

Applied for nomination on October 18th 2018
Received nomination on November 27th 2018 by mail.
Applied for Federal PR on January 10th ,2019 by mail ( paper-based).
Currently waiting for next steps..

Can we get a PR using the International student job offer stream if we have no work experience at all?
OR are we required to have a minimum 1-year work experience either abroad or in Canada?

It totally depends on employers how they think about the process. It also depends on how we explain and ask for their support. Employers usually don't find this complicated and are ready to support.

Hi there, thank you for the post. I have been working in my employer for 2 months, and fortunately he agrees to support me on OINP IG with offer, but considering this short experience I have with my current employer, will they challenge me on the genuineness of the offer?

Do we have to stay in the same employer that gave us the Employer Form until we get PR, or is it okay to leave employer after we receive nomination?
