Hi, I have been waiting for approval since Jan 2024. NOC 22222. What did you do to extend your work permit? Maintained implied status?

Oh okay. Mine is expiring soon but not sure what to do. My OINP Application Status has been in DIP since 9 months no movement from there on. I have a question, do we lose our eligibility to the program if our WP expires? How do we keep maintaining our eligibility?

Are you in closed work permit? Actually Canada government did notice one public policy stating that if your PNP application is in progress and your WP is expiring after 9th May then you can get the wp extension if province will give support letter but till now this policy only supported by Manitoba and Alberta. Ontario still is not supporting but still you can send a web from or mail asking the reference of this policy -

I am on Open WP. Yes, I saw this policy as well and realized OINP will issue support letters only for approved applications. Anyway, thanks for this I will submit a web form stating this policy and post a reply soon. I assume, your application is still in decision in progress and it’s gonna be a year in 2 months since you applied?

Yes that is right soon it will a year i think from December batch i the only person left or may be vey few.
