Just to update, I received pre-aor email yesterday.

congrats mshergill. Yes bestofluck is right, i would have done it in advance.

Got reviewed and accepted buddies , the ppl over there are working hard to clear the backlog.

Lets praise their efforts.

They have completed giving AOR's to January and almost 4 February applicants got the AOR on the first day !!

They are Diligently working hard but making a lot of mistakes. They send AOR to wrong address and makes it a more difficult task for some. Almost 6 December and 35 January applicants have still not recd the AOR email !! Hope they don't go so fast that some applicants suffer !

I'm pretty confused at the moment. I received an email from CIC saying 'Your application (number xx) has been updated', but when I logged in there is no update to my application or no new messages.

Has anyone ever faced this before? Is it just an issue with the site?

But does it mean that indeed there is an update to the application? Would I better off writing to the office directly to check on the status?

No some people call it a ghost mail. Sometimes it may happen that you have changed some information or may be you have updated the profile. But when you don't receive anything in MYCIC account than nothing to worry. Just check that your CIC account is active and you see that ACTIVE,MET, MET things.

my consultant wrote to them on 30 th jul then followed up again last thursday.
I sent a fax on monday and email on tuesday. Still no reply. Now am getting worried if my file has not been reviewed yet or if there is any problem in it. Going mad now.

I keep emailing and not getting anywhere either very annoyed about it my application was received early in month and have heard nothing back from them for rejection or accepted don't really know what to do
